"being grown up isn't half as fun as growing up"

So this weekend was fun. Fun, however it does remind me just how old I am. I suppose in years I sound pretty young, but in maturity, I'm as old as any 22-23 year old (I think). I really like more "mature" bars like the Barking Frog or Runt Pub rather than the Richmond St. hangouts...

I had a super tour on Friday, I even got evaluated and did very well. Somehow the topic got on about our childhood toys and my tour got to hear about my Cabbage Patch Dolls, Melissa and Fiona, and Moosie of course!

On Friday night I went to Jack's, which was a lot of fun. I am ALWAYS going to associate Jack's with "Save a horse ride a cowboy" aka Zo's favourite song ever. hahaha. On Saturday I did the roommate thing and got all dressed up in my angel costume (I cheated a little, I wore jeans. I'm sure angels wear jeans to bars!) and we went to Cheryl's place and headed to Jim Bob's together. We had a crazy taxi driver who was happy to take all 6 of us in his cab... that's 2 more people than you're legally allowed to have. It was ridiculously busy downtown. We ended up walking ALL the way down Richmond street to GT's (the sketchiest bar ever) in our costumes. So GT's wasn't that bad. It's still undoubtedly the sketchiest bar ever, but I actually had an ok time.

The best part about Halloween is all the crazy costumes. Some people take it as their cue to wear as little as possible, and other people get very creative. One girl was a tornado, another guy I saw was a "one nightstand" with a table and all... popular costumes this year were guys in girls' dresses, army people, and sheriffs/police people.

Laura went as Pebbles (from The Flinstones) and we saw a Wilma! It was so funny. Cheryl did a toga and went as Aphrodite, Napanee was an army girl, Ashley was Minnie Mouse, Lisa was a cowgirl, and me as an angel. The wings often got in the way, but I looked so cute! hehe. We took loads of pictures between us all, but Lisa has the ones for our house, so I'll get them from her when she uploads them.

Happy Halloween!

Once upon a time, there was a bar in downtown London called the Ridout. Now *that* place was a dive (although I recall spending a New Year's there, years ago). But, if you're looking for sketch, you really can't beat east end bars like the Embassy (if that's still around).
